The Gastineaus’ first CD Long Road Home earned the family a place in southern gospel hearts. The anticipated release of Honeysuckle Blooms & Sunday Afternoons revealed their versatility. Their newest project Lately, showcases the powerful songwriting and sincerity that has brought The Gastineaus to the forefront in gospel music. Their current radio single “Wounded Warrior”, a poignant ballad of perseverance, is capturing attention and creating a platform of opportunities for the band. 

Six individuals united as one family combine talents and passion to pursue their calling. The Gastineaus are part French and Mississippi Choctaw Indian.

 

 

 

Gaye Gastineau

Singing alto and playing the keyboards, Gaye leads her family group with integrity. Her soulful vocals and gospel piano style are trademarks to her wealth of experience.  Also a songwriter, her gift to pen strong lyrics and melodies are first-class. With a heart for the ministry, Gaye keeps the focus on the message while delivering it with passion and humility.

 

 

 

Kami Gastineau Nance

Singing lead and harmony vocals is Kami. Her vocal styling was influenced at an early age by Karen Wheaton, Sonya Isaacs and Becky Isaacs. Her signature sound is pure and captivating. With a natural stage presence, she shares emcee duties with her mother. Kami is a SOSU graduate in Education and is married to Gregory Nance. They have a son, Canaan.

 

 

 

Maci Gastineau

Lighting up the stage with her guitar skills and grace is Maci. With ability beyond her years, her touch on the guitar is smooth. From an acoustic to the electric guitar, or playing a slide, Maci captures the heart of the song. Her high harmony vocals, also pure, complete the family blend. Maci is an honor student at East Central University, majoring in Nursing.

 

 

 

Trevor Sutton

On the drums and keeping the band tight is Trevor Sutton. His talent to accompany and shine without overpowering the vocals energizes the band and makes him a favorite among fans of all ages. With a steadfast faith, his positive attitude is endearing. Trevor is continuing his education in Business in the ECU Master’s Program.

 

 

 

Gregory Nance

Laying a solid foundation for the Gastineau band is bass guitarist, Gregory Nance. Growing up listening and playing southern gospel music in church, his rhythm is instinctive. His ability to make friends comes easy with his approachable personality and quick smile. Gregory is a fiber-optics specialist and is married to Kami.

 

 

James Gastineau

James is committed to the success of his family's calling. With the duties of driving, setting the equipment and running the sound, his love and support is evident.  He is an experienced veteran in law enforcement and avid outdoor sportsman. James is married to Gaye and they have two daughters, Kami and Maci.
